Cost Savings Opportunities
In a competitive marketplace, every penny matters. If your company is open to minor ingredient line and/or nutrition panel changes, Clasen Quality Coatings has identified the following cost savings opportunities as part of our on-going effort to help customers save money without compromising the quality of their finished products. •Fat Selection – If commodity costs are driving up the price of your product, CQC can work with you to identify alternate or blends of fats and emulsifiers (PGPR) that can save you money. •Sugar Alternatives – Replacing sugar with a cost-effective alternative is another great way to cut down the cost of your coatings. •Ingredient Selection – In addition to fats and sugars, ingredients such as dairy powders can be replaced with less expensive options. Cocoa powder amounts and type can also be evaluated for cost reduction potential. •Processing Techniques – By increasing the particle size of the finished coating, CQC can use less fat and run more efficiently, which can minimize your cost. •Bulk Purchasing – Purchasing CQC’s coatings in greater volumes, or taking your coating as bulk liquid verses shaped, will help decrease your per-pound cost. To learn more about these options, as well as other ways to save money on your confectionery coatings, contact our Innovation Team at 877.459.4500 or

"Better For You" Coating Line Reduces Both Sugar And Fat up to 25%
Our innovative new line represents a reduction of up to 25% in sugar and up to 25% in fat content over our Star line, enabling manufacturers to include more coating in their finished products. Alternatively, manufacturers can use the same amount of coating and achieve improved nutritional profiles in their finished products. CQC’s “Better for You” coatings line takes advantage of a special blend of emulsifiers and sugar alternatives to achieve this reduction. The result isn’t just more confectionery coating for your finished product application. It’s also more flavor, as the reductions in sugar and fat enable you to add more coating to a product with minor changes to the ingredient line and nutrition panel. This makes CQC’s “Better for You” line an ideal choice for nutrition bars, energy bars or any other product for health-conscious consumers. (If PGPR is used, this coating is best suited for molding, drizzling and bottom enrobing only.) Contact us today to find out more about how the "Better For You" line can help you include more coating and more flavor in your finished products.
